Yes, games have evolved enough to the point that they are beneficial to you, rather than damaging because they've actually go the user into the game with motion sensors and everything. Despite this,  video games actually helps you the user even without participating in the motions of the game itself. It improves your vision, allowing you to see smaller objects in a cluttered or crowded place. It could help you focus, especially those with ADHD, to get a high score, focus is needed to obtain and maintain that "high score." This could show in test scores where they focus on their test and studies to help them do well. Although all the "wasted" time playing could have gone to studying, games just help you focus not to improve your intellect. they are still considered video games because games are something for entertainment. Maybe the user wants to stay fit, or play sports without having to go far to play, physically active games provide the exercise need will still maintaining the entertainment in it.
