Unit 6 - 6/6

This kind of scare campaign is effective because it shows the reality of what happens when a person would  drink a can of soda. It effectively shows how much fat and portrays it by actually putting 10 pounds of ft into a glass and drinking it. The add makes me think twice about drinking unhealthy beverages. I wouldn't say it'll make me a healthier person but it definitely would make me refrain from drinking soda and other sugary beverages for a while. I'm starting to realize the severity of the large rate of obesity growing in North America. It must be a large issue if the government is making advertisements about obese people. Hopefully, powerful and scary advertisements bring some sense into those who don't really notice their big problem. When I watched the video, I had it coming when I saw the man drinking the jelly which was representing the fat that is coming from the soda we drink a day. I would admit that it actually made me refrain from drinking soda for a while. If they were raise the prices for unhealthy snacks and drinks, there would be a dramatic decline in sales because I don't think would be spending much money for food that would only be used to give a slight energy boost.
